Flying Man in COD4

Hey- I was playing COD4 the other day on Live and there was this guy that could fly. First he just kept killing me from way up in the sky and I thought he was glitching like on COD WaW, but then I was right there when he respawned (after I shot him down lol), and he would run and then just take off in flight. The best I could tell he could fly around at any level he wanted, low to the ground, or way up, and could go anywhere on the map. Anyone seen this or know what mod he is using?

my friends and me have seen this alot latley. ive heard from my friends theyve also seen it on cod waw and ive seen it on gears of war 2 but only flashback maps.

Wonder what it is?

Could a lag switch do this?

I don't it could but I've never used one so I don't know...

I wish I could tell you his GT, but it was a few days ago. I filed 2 complaints against him myself and there were other in the room very mad about it.

lag switch lag switch lag switch. I refuse to reveal the secret, but yes this is do-able with much practice. I never lag or rapid fire in ranked or full online matches. Just in private matches to show off my random flying skills. and of course randomly glitching behind someone and shooting then in the back.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe its a simple household switch that you connect to your Ethernet cable. You can then switch it off, everything will freeze, and you can still move. You get to a point where you have an advantage (behind a guy) and switch it back on. Everyone moves again and you easily kill the guy. If you hold it off too long you'll just lag out so it takes practice.

Oh ok, makes sense. But how in the world would you use it to fly around?

well, because in all honesty the last thing xbl needs is more people glitching...Thats exactly why I dont do it at all online.

Yeah, I agree, I didn't want to know so I can cheat on xbl, just mess around with friends.

lol this is not a lag switch, it's a mod similar to god mod called UFO mod. A lag switch requires the user to be host and when the switch is flicked it will give the illusion to other players that the user is stationary, but the user is actually walking around normally. Lag switches can only be used for a few seconds as it actually stops data being transferred.

I'm not an expert in hacking (i never cheat) but afaik IW released a patch, UFO mod is no longer possible online.

As to making a lag switch all you need is a light switch and an ethernet cord.

Lastly, cheating is for losers. The guy that used UFO mod is a sad nerd.

EDIT: I just read the entire thread, it seems as if it is possible to do this with a lag switch, but in my experience lag switches don't do anything like what was described.
