So I was thinking about this the other day. Sadly monstermods.com is parked, however we could change the name a bit and get a .com.

I think we should get a front page and stuff for tutorials, and dare I say, a store.

Thoughts?

Very much agreed, and I would kick in for domain costs...

all of these are open...
themonstermods.com
monstermodsonline.com
monstermodsnow.com

Also, if you didn't care if it was a dot com, monstermods.info, .me, .us, .biz, are all open.

Another thing, even though dot com and dot net are taken, we can still backorder them and then they can be snatched up if they become available. Neither one of them are actually being used for a real site. The dot com is parked by a computer place, and the dot net just errors out.

One thing to think about also... Unless we just did a simple redirect back to this place, now you have server costs to consider. And if we do a store, now your talking about a whole re-work of the site for E commerce.

What about monster-mods.com? I think a store would improve stuff ten times over, but like chiefs said, thats a HUGE step.

I was thinking something like monsterXmods.com. Which is available, and since we primarily have Xbox mods, it kinda works.

It's been a good while since I did any web development, but I could always lend a hand. Also I'd help get the domain too, and probably pitch in for the server.

GoDaddy has really cheap pricing, you can get 3 years of hosting for $130. Thats the cheap-o one, but I think that would be plenty to start with.

So far we can sell self install rapid fire chips, pre-installed ones, modding service, and repairs.

BUt, how's that going to work with all of us selling the same thing?

We could develop a rotation for services, or have one person do what service they're best at. Then for the pre-made stuff, we could just all make it and send it to a central person.

Locational modding also helps. I'd rather someone near here work on it then shipping it across country.

I wish some people around here wanted services, then I'd have something to show. The last thing I modded was a Slipknot Xbox 1, which I got stiffed on... but thats another story. (wow, didn't realise that was 4 years ago...) I've done a controller ROL here and there, but nothing fun like a full case mod. Which makes me wanna do one so bad.. Someone give me a sweet idea, something hard, I have a couple cases laying around!

We could be a league of respectable, trust worthy modders. Wich a couple people doing mods, turn around time would be much faster then just one person doing it.

Yea, it'd be really cool. All over the country is an advantage in my opinion. Me and Collins could cover PA and down on the east coast, and SR2K could take the NE. Of course some things we would have to send to certain people, like painting to 250f for example. People would use us for high quality stuff, and maybe if we really got this going we could get noticed by bigger companies (Rockstar Very Happy) and work as a team.

I dont know, in general I think companies work better if a product has to move down a hall instead of down a coast.

Let me clear this up. A rapid fire is sold. I take the sale so I make the controller and send it to the customer, who happens to be closest to me. If they're closer to chiefs, he does the controller. Its not like you do the soldering, I mount the LED's, 250f paints...that wouldn't work unless the customer is willing to wait a long time.
